The Association of Film Commissions establish in 2013, June 4th in Istanbul by law Istanbul Governership and Ministry of Internal Affairs, and with the support and cooperation of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the various municipalities.
The Association is committed to establishing Turkey’s unique historical, natural, and cultural riches as one of the leading filming destinations in the international film industry. The organization is determined to achieve this vision through a focused approach, seeking support from both individuals and companies to strengthen collaboration within the industry.
To achieve these objectives, the Association of Film Commissions plans to take the following strategic actions:
- Serve as the Primary Contact Point: To act as the first point of contact for foreign production companies seeking to shoot films, TV series, documentaries, and commercials in Turkey.
- Foster Partnerships: To facilitate partnerships between Turkish and foreign production companies, enabling the creation of joint projects and encouraging collaboration.
- Promote Turkey to Investors: To highlight the unparalleled historical, natural, and cultural assets of Turkey, as well as its financial advantages, to foreign investors, making Turkey an attractive filming destination.
- Provide Consulting and Support: To offer comprehensive consultancy and assistance to foreign production companies regarding film permits, procedures, legal requirements, incentives, promotions, and available technical services.
- Coordinate and Communicate: To support foreign production companies in engaging with both private and public sector officials, ensuring effective coordination and communication.
- International Promotion: To promote Turkey as an ideal film location by showcasing it at International Film Festivals, Film Markets, and similar global film industry events.
The main office of the Association of Film Commissions is in Istanbul, with offices located in Los Angeles, California, USA, in Mumbai India, in Antwerp Belgium, in Vien Austria, in Milano İtaly.
Any Turkish person or company may become a member. However, foreign individuals must hold a residence permit or have the right to obtain one in order to qualify for membership.

Sait YARDIMCI, who serves as the esteemed Chairman of the Turkish Film Commission, has gained a coveted reputation as a Film Field Producer known for his advanced problem-solving skills and extensive connections in the film industry. Born in vibrant Istanbul in 1966, Sait YARDIMCI was introduced to the captivating world of films at an early age. This early encounter sparked a lifelong interest in the logistical complexities of film production and reinforced his dedication to ensuring smooth operations and achieving the unattainable.
After completing his education in Cultural Heritage and Tourism at a renowned university, Sait embarked on his professional journey in the hospitality sector. He began as a receptionist at various well-known hotels and gradually rose to leadership positions such as Front Office Manager, Deputy General Manager, and ultimately General Manager. After leaving the accommodation industry, he utilized his business skills to establish his own travel agency, providing opportunities to collaborate with international travel giants such as TUI and Abercrombie Kent, and interact with clients from different regions of the world, deepening his understanding of diverse cultures.
During this period, Sait YARDIMCI started assisting foreign film companies with their production requirements in Türkiye. His ability to overcome unexpected problems during shoots caught the attention of industry veterans, leading to his widespread recognition as a talented Field Producer.
